Folha de S.Paulo, commonly known as Folha, is a prominent Brazilian daily newspaper established in São Paulo on February 19, 1921, initially as Folha da Noite. It serves as the centerpiece for Grupo Folha, a powerful media conglomerate that also controls UOL (Brazil's leading internet portal), Datafolha, and other enterprises, solidifying its status as a "newspaper of record."

Throughout its history, Folha has maintained a core commitment to political independence, adapting its focus to diverse audiences and consistently addressing societal needs. Since 1986, it has consistently achieved the largest circulation among Brazilian newspapers and also boasts the most visited news website. Its early years saw it championing working-class causes, but a tumultuous 1930 witnessed its premises destroyed during the Vargas revolution, leading to a change of ownership and a brief period of advocating for rural landowners.
